Move In & Out Cleaning

Empty-house cleaning before you hand back the keys or carry the first box in. DA Maids brings all the equipment and works to your moving date.

What landlords and new owners look at

A move-out walk-through is not a glance at the floor. A landlord, a property manager or the buyer's agent opens things. They look inside the kitchen cabinets and drawers, inside the oven and the fridge, along closet shelves, in the window tracks, and at the tub, the grout and the inside of the toilet. A move-in clean is the same inspection run from the other side: nobody wants to put a family's dishes into a cabinet someone else left crumbs in.

Empty rooms show everything. With the furniture gone, the dust lines where the sofa stood, the scuffs on the baseboards and the grease on the range hood all sit in plain light. That is the reason an empty-house clean is a different job from the weekly visit, and the reason to book it for its own sake rather than squeeze it into the last hour before the truck leaves.

DA Maids has done this for people who stay with the company for years. Sarah G, Berkeley Heights NJ, Feb 2026, wrote: “I have moved 3 times since I meet Susanna and she has come along with every move.” Dave M, Montclair NJ, Apr 2024, said Da Maids has been with him “through two homes and three apartments.” Those are customers who trusted the same crew with the old place and the new one.

An empty house, their own equipment

DA Maids puts its approach to this service in one sentence on its own site: “We supply all the equipment and skills necessary to tackle just about every type of job our clients have for us.” For a move that matters. You are not hunting for a vacuum in a box marked kitchen, and nobody needs to leave a bucket behind. The crew arrives with what the job needs and the house can be completely empty.

In any empty house the sensible order of work runs from high to low and from the back of the home toward the door: ceilings, fans and light fixtures, then walls and ledges, then cabinets and appliances inside and out, then bathrooms, and floors last so that nothing falls onto a finished surface. On the free estimate call, ask Susana or Martin how the crew runs your rooms, and tell them about anything particular: a pantry that was used heavily, pet areas, a garage that needs a sweep, a rental with a long checklist from the property manager.

Bring that checklist. Many Berkeley Heights, Scotch Plains and Montclair rentals come with a written move-out list, and a copy of it on the estimate call is the quickest way to make sure the clean matches what the person with the keys will look for.

Timed to the keys

The clock on a move is hard. A lease ends on the thirtieth, a closing is on a Friday, or the movers arrive at eight on Saturday. DA Maids describes this service as “consistently reliable service in a timely and professional manner,” and customers say the same about showing up. Mary K, Scotch Plains NJ, Jan 2026, called the crew “punctual, detail oriented, very professional.” For a move, being on time is the whole point.

When you call (908) 414-1425 for the free estimate, give the date the home is empty, the date the keys change hands and whether there is any gap between the two. Working back from those dates is how a clean ends up finished while you still have time to fix anything the walk-through turns up, instead of being squeezed in after the inspector has already left.

Moving into a new place across Newark, Bloomfield, Nutley or Chatham, the order flips: have the home cleaned empty, then let the truck in. And once you are settled, the same crew can come back for regular maid service, weekly, bi-weekly or monthly. DA Maids Llc. is a fully insured, family run company that has served North and Central New Jersey since 2013.
